Bday Clashes with CNY

What a clash again...it happens at least once in every 5years. No mood for celebration. This year is really a dull year to start off with. The bad economy destroys the festive mood totally.

But I am blessed to have a bunch of good old friends to celebrate with before the actual and a wonderful boss who surprised me with Ice Cream Cake and Angbaoz today. Am really thankful to those who texted me well wishes when the clock strikes 12.

During the younger days, we used to look forward to tonnes of pressies and surprises on our birthday. But as we mature, presents are unimportant anymore , partly due to people always buy the wrong thing and end up accumulating more white elephants at home. Not sure if it applies to many people out there, but I can afford to pamper myself with anything and if I can't, then that thing must be super expensive or luxurious to have which I would prefer to earn it myself. More satisfaction. **grin

So the best present is still to receive wishes from my close friends/best friends..it shows that they still remember my significant day and treasures our friendships. I m grateful to have received those from my best friend from Sec, JC, Uni, Ex-colleagues and Colleagues. v(^o^)v
